You may have heard it was the largest ship of its time, but it’s even more impressive than that.
Yes, the Titanic was the largest passenger ship in the world at the time of its creation – it was 882 feet in length. However, the stats get a little more impressive than that. The Titanic was also the largest human-made moving object on Earth during its time.
The biggest passenger ship we have today is around 1,100 feet long…which makes the Titanic look even more impressive, considering it’s been a century and our largest ships still aren’t that much longer.
